Meet Mike, the Floral Manager at Sendik’s Hartland! Mike's passion for design was passed down from his grandfather, an architect. Growing up, Mike loved working on outdoor projects, planting flowers, taking trips to centers and watching HGTV shows for inspiration. Starting in the floral industry in 2010, Mike immediately stood out for his design talents and quickly became a floral manager. He went on to attend the Southern California School of Floral Design, as well as numerous seminars in the Milwaukee and Chicago Areas, to further hone his skills. Mike joined the Sendik’s team in 2016, initially assisting in our Central Design Hub to create hundreds of arrangements for our stores before transitioning to our Hartland store in 2018.
As a Home Manager, Mike gets inspiration from his interactions with guests and loves creating custom designs to meet each individual's needs. Mike and his team enjoy talking to guests about all that Sendik’s has to offer, educating about flower, plant care, and helping select the perfect gift for that special someone.
When it comes to designing, Mike likes to keep his favorite quote in mind: "You'll never know everything about anything, especially something you love”- Julia Childs. He says he uses it as a reminder to always be learning, creating and growing, but most importantly to keep an open mind about design and people.
